Obituary

Tereena Sheree Basler, age 37, of Appleton, WI passed away April 24, 2022, after a courageous journey with esophageal cancer. She is survived by her son Jackson Basler, her Mother Julie Schedgick, her Father Ronald Basler, her Brother Ronald Basler Jr. (Jill), twin nephews Rownan & Jensen, her niece Rainah, many cousins and several friends. She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents Chester & Margaret Schedgick, and her Paternal Grandparents Marvin & Ruby Basler.  

Tereena was born October 27, 1984, at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base in North Carolina. Her family moved to Wisconsin when Tereena was 12. She graduated from Menasha High School in 2002. Tereena loved spending time with her son Jackson, taking him camping at several campgrounds throughout Wisconsin. She enjoyed fishing, karaoke and had a passion for going to see live music, especially to Mile of Music in Appleton. Tereena loved doing crafts and created many keepsakes for friends and family. Tereena may have had some struggles but lived life to the fullest which was apparent in her way of living “what you see is what you get” she held nothing back. Our family is grateful to know that Tereena is finally at peace.

A Memoria Service for Tereena will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Dearest Julie and Jackson, you have may deepest sympathies! My prayers go out to your family at this sad time. Tereena was just too young! May God meet her at the gate and welcome her with no more pain. I lost my friend Tereena to esophageal cancer. I already miss her reminders to watch "Call the Midwife", our FB chats and posts, and our mutual love of books and music. Fly high, Tereena Sheree and rest easy. Julie Lynn and Jackson, you have my sincere sympathy. Tereena and I saw The Great Peacock band at Mile of Music, and she immediately fell in love with their songs and lyrics. This one seems perfect to honor her, as she passed away on a day with high winds. Coincidence? I think not.
