ROBERT CROOKS

Robert Leo Crooks, 82, passed away on Tuesday May 10, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah. He was born November 23, 1939, in Menasha, son of the late Vincent and Dorothy (Mason) Crooks. Bob married Ruth Ann Wolf on June 4, 1960.

Bob graduated from Menasha High School, class of 1958. He started working for Marathon right after high school. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army from 1962-1964. After his time in the Army, Bob returned to work at Marathon, American Can, Pechiney, starting out as a machine operator, and retired as a Millwright after 42 years. After retirement, Bob accomplished his dream of visiting all 48 states and Alaska. He also enjoyed bowling, and his fishing trips to Canada.

Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth; their two children; daughter, Dawn Marie Crooks; and son, Jeff; granddaughter, Meghan Crooks; sister, Nancy Miller; sister in-law, Ann Crooks; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was further preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dana Lynn; infant son, Brian Robert; brother, Tom; and brother in-law, Roger Miller.

A graveside service for Bob will be held 10:00 AM on Friday May 13, 2022, at Oakhill Cemetery, Neenah, with Rev. Jon Strasman officiating.
