Obituary

Leonard R. Berge, age 84, of Neenah, WI passed away at Theda Clark hospital on May 26, 2022.  He was born March 11, 1938, in Stanley, WI.

Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Eva Berge; also sisters: Mary, Evelyn, Diane; and brother, Donald.

Survived by loving wife, Nancy, with whom he was married 58 years.  Daughter, Lori (Frank) Feingold; children: Ben and Elli; Son, Jeffrey (Carrie) Berge; children: Todd (Erika) and Kathryn.  Also survived by sisters: Kathy, Elaine and Marjorie; and many nieces and nephews.

Lenny was a retired electrician with 40+ years at American Can Co.  He loved hunting, fishing, building bluebird houses and was an avid Packers and Brewers fan.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Neenah for 60 years.  He enjoyed trips around the United States and spending time at his cabin near Suring, WI.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church 108 W. Doty Ave, Neenah.  Visitation at 10:00 AM.  Luncheon will follow service.

Monetary donations will be used to plant a tree in Lenny's honor in Southview Park.

My condolences go out to the family. I work with Jeff and he always shared many fond memories of his dad throughout the 2 years I have worked with him. You are in our prayers as you navigate this very difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Lenny's passing. We had lots of good times in his early years in Neenah/Menasha. Last labor day stopped by cottage in Suring but no one around. May he rest in peace, and may God bless Nancy and the extended family.

Lenny Berge was one of the three electricians at the ANCC tech center in the early 1990`s. Some of us called them The Three Stooges in a respectful way. Lenny with his crew cut was Curly, Dennis Tierney with his darker and taller presence was Moe, and Ron Voster with his fuller gray hair was Larry. It was funny they were always together on a job. How many electricians does it take to change a light bulb? Three. One on the ladder and two to turn the ladder. They were always jovial, courteous, and helpful. The three nicest guys! If you ever watched the Larry McCarren Show, Lenny and his wife would be In the audience wearing their Packer shirts. And Lenny was a great bowler. God be with you during this difficult time. Lenny was a nice guy.

I grew up with Lori and my dad worked with “electric” Lenny. I have many fond memories of Lenny and spending time with Lori and her family over the years. I remember Lenny’s laugh and what a nice man he was. He was like a second dad to me and will be truly missed. My deepest condolences to Lori, Jeff, Nancy and the extended family.
