MICHAEL BARKLOW

Mike Barklow, 77, passed away after a prolonged illness, June 1, 2022 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.  He was born August 22, 1944 in Ohio, the son of Roger and Julia (Weckesser) Barklow.

Mike graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a BS in paper science and engineering and worked for many years in the paper coatings industry.  He was in the Delta Chi Fraternity and a member of the Miami University Symphony Orchestra.  Mike had a passion for music, he was in band, orchestra and chorus.  He was a loving father that shared his passion for music with his children.  He also loved building and flying model airplanes along with classic wood boating with his son.

In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his son, Erik in February, 2022 at the age of 47.  He is survived by his daughter, Lissa Barklow, Menasha, WI; sister Susan (Thomas) Koralewski along with their children (Kelsey and Ross), Indianapolis. He is further survived by his special, long-time lady friend EJ Hirte.

There will be no services however donations to Mooring House, Appleton in Mike's name would be greatly appreciated.
