JACQUELINE VIAL

JACQUELINE VIAL

April 25, 1929 - June 16, 2022

Obituary

Jacqueline Vial passed away in her sleep on June 16, 2022 at Parkside Senior Living.  She was born on April 25, 1929 in Marquette, Michigan, daughter of the late Rowland and Virginia Keck.

Jackie graduated from Neenah High School in 1947.  She was happily married to the love of her life, Richard Vial, for 73 years before his passing in October of 2021.  Jackie worked several jobs including Jersilds, J.C. Penney's and retired as an Assessment Technician for the City of Neenah.  She also owned Jackie's Yarn Shop on Doty Island.  She took great pride in everything she did.  She could knit, crochet and do counted cross stitch.  She knit booties and hats for premature babies and care covers for cancer patients.  She also knit hats, scarves and mittens for the Salvation Army even though her vision was very limited in her later years.

It took her and Richard twelve years to finally have children.  Jackie loved being a mother and always put her children first. She always said that they had to wait so long because she got the best.

Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, her parents, her sisters, Diana (Charles) Clarke, Virginia (Robert) LaForest and her brother, Mickey Keck.

She is survived by her two children, Penny Schneidewend of Neenah and Richard Vial of Tempe, Arizona; her grandsons, Andrew (Sara Tolley) Schneidewend and Peter (Kiarra Kuik) Schneidewend; three great grandchildren, Drewthea, Bradley and Paxton and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held in Neenah.  Jackie's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Parkside Senior Living and the nurses at AseraCare Hospice Care for treating her and us as family during this especially hard time.  We felt she was very loved while in their care and for that we are forever grateful.
