JEANNE O'CONNOR

JEANNE O'CONNOR

December 10, 1928 - June 19, 2022

Obituary

Jeanne K. O'Connor, age 93, formerly of Neenah, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022. She was born on December 10, 1928 to the late Albert and Anne (Baxter) Kieselmann in Farmingdale, New York. There she graduated from Farmingdale High School as valedictorian and went on to be the first person in her family to attend college. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alfred University with a degree in English.

On August 21, 1948, Jeanne married William O'Connor and together they had four children. In 1980 she and Bill moved to Neenah, WI for a job opportunity and at that time she became a member of St. Gabriel Parish. Jeanne will be remembered as a very faithful woman who loved life. She was a gracious, graceful, and kind lady who was smart as a whip and exuded joy. Her “go-with-the-flow” demeanor and her wish to never live in a nursing home granted her the opportunity to move amongst her children, countrywide, every few months. This allowed her to see different parts of the country (specifically Wisconsin, New York, and Virginia) at different times of the year, as well as spend time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Jeanne will be remembered as the “best mother” who was always keeping herself busy. She was a devoted volunteer, giving time to different hospice programs, Meals-on-Wheels, St. Joseph's Food Pantry, St. Gabriel Parish, and Theda Clark Medical Center. When she had free time she enjoyed a plethora of hobbies, some of which were gardening, cooking, reading, bird watching, traveling, and playing most sports. She enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, fishing, bowling, and was always excited to bat a softball. Scrabble, playing piano, and singing were also among her talents.

Jeanne is survived by her four children: Kathleen Patashnick, NY; Laurie (Roger) Dadiomoff, VA; William (Doni) O'Connor, VA; and Matthew (Lori) O'Connor, WI; as well as by her grandchildren: Johanna (Kevin) Lloyd; Jamie (Tracy) Dockiewicz; Joseph (Callen) Dadiomoff; Jessica (Chris) Hay; Will (Carolyn) O'Connor; Kellie (Marc) Aisenstark; Kyle O'Connor; Scott (Laura) Osterloh; Leslie (Brad) Godwin; Ryan (Rylee) O'Connor; Sean O'Connor; and Erin O'Connor. She is further survived by 15 great-grandchildren, her “favorite child” (dog), Breeze; by her nephews: Walter and Robert O'Connor; and by her niece, Sharon Van Nostrand.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, William, Sr; by her son, Joseph; by her sister, Anne Stapleton; and by her son-in-law, Michael Patashnick.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at St. Gabriel Parish, 900 Geiger St., Neenah with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Jeanne will join William, Sr. at St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either Rawhide Boys Ranch or St. Joseph's Food Pantry in Jeanne's name.

Thinking of your family today. Miss Jeanne was a true gem. She always had a smile on her face and a quick wit. She’ll be missed.
