Obituary
Carolyn Marie Langner, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday July 20, 2022, at Oak Park Place, Menasha. She was born October 18, 1933, in Dale, WI; daughter of the late Harry and Alice (Moder) Leppla. Carolyn married Frederick J. Solomon “Sollie” on February 9, 1956. They enjoyed 27 years together until his passing ON September 16, 1983. Carolyn again found happiness with her former high school sweetheart, John R. Langner. They were married on March 4, 1989.
Carolyn began her career in nursing as an aid in pediatrics and geriatrics. She later moved to obstetrics, surgery, and recovery. Carolyn took great pride in her 43 years of nursing at ThedaClark Hospital, Neenah. Carolyn and John enjoyed their casino runs and playing cards with family and friends. They often volunteered their time and talent helping with their church's food pantry. Carolyn really enjoyed family gatherings, playing the accordion with her father Harry, and sister Donna was always a special treat.
Carolyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, John; her daughter, Laurie (Grant) Fulcer; two step-children: Eva Langner, and John Jr. (Cindy) Langner; eight grandchildren: Mandy Jo (Josh) Bohlen, Samuel (Ashley) Fulcer, Melissa Wall, Abigal Metson, Shane Wall, Celia Langner, and Brett and Logan Langner; 12 great-grandchildren: Sierra Lor, Alyvia Lor, Austin Cleveland, Jaxson Bohlen, Marley Fulcer, Hudson Fulcer, Ethan Wall, Charlie and Oliver Wall, Ila Wall, Auron Metson, and Cyrus Metson. She is further survived by her sister, Donna Warmbier; brother, James (Jackie) Leppla; and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was further preceded in death by two sisters and one brother in-law: Betty Arndt, and Carla (Ron) Wege.
Memorial service for Carolyn will be 11:30 AM on Tuesday July 26, 2022, at WESTGOR FUNERAL HOME, Menasha. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday morning beginning at 9:30 until the 11:30 AM service. In lieu of flowers, Carolyn's family will make a donation to the staff of both Moments Hospice, and Oak Park Place, Menasha.
