Obituary

Linda M. Jelinski passed away at age 83 on August 11, 2022 after a short illness. She was born in Waupaca on May 1st 1939 as the second daughter to Ralph and Margaret Moses. Linda grew up in Waupaca and after achieving her teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, settled in Neenah Wisconsin. She taught first grade for 37 years with the Neenah Joint School District starting at McKinley Elementary and finishing at Wilson Elementary with a Masters Degree. Upon her retirement she traveled the world and remained active in the Neenah Community.

She is survived by a bunch of people who loved her including her best friend Dick Jelinski, her son Edmund Jelinski, Her daughter in law Shannon Jelinski, her grandson August Jelinski, her sister Glee Zale and an innumerable group of other dear friends, family and former students.

The family is determined to throw a party in her honor on September 24th, 2022 from 3 to 7pm. The festivities will be at Dick's located at 2780 County Road JJ, Neenah WI 54956. Come whenever you can although we expect to do the toasting and storytelling around 6pm. No need bring anything but your memories of her. She will be interned at St. Margret Cemetery in a private family ceremony.

I truly enjoyed getting to know Linda and talking with her. She was one classy lady! I loved how when she agreed with something you said it was always met with....."Indeed!" She was a great neighbor.

Wonderful  memories of teaching first grade with Linda for many years. After retirement, we’d gather once a month with a group of retired Wilson Elementary School ladies for lunch and a lot of laughing.   We worked together with other retired Wilson teachers for many years with Brigade’s Christmas Giving Program.    Linda was dignified, classy, and tons of fun.  She was loved and will be greatly missed.
