Obituary

David Monte Wallene, age 58 of Menasha, passed away suddenly on August 17, 2022. David was born on January 14, 1964 to Howard and Agnes Wallene in Duluth, Minnesota.

David was known for his love of bowling, having bowled five 300 games in his lifetime; and his love of fishing for walleye and northern.

David was a loving father and family man, spending much of his spare time playing competitive games of three-on-two soccer in the family backyard, or games of cornhole (queens vs. peasants). David loved watching sports on television and would often watch the Packer or Brewer games with his family.

David is survived by his three sons: Landon, Mika, and Monte; and his only daughter Raven. He is further survived by his sisters, Terri Lynn and Wendy. There are numerous extended family members that will all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Agnes Wallene.

A time of remembrance for David will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Anyone wishing to speak or share a memory will be welcome to do so. A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of remembrance.

David, your laugh larger than life in the breakroom is what I still hear. You showed concern for those who struggled. Till we meet again in heaven, there will be a quiet space here in my heart. Thank you for being the smile we all needed so badly at times.

We spent time on the ball diamond bowling alley in the boat on the water. Traveled to Alabama. I'll miss the laughter the joking. You rest in peace now friend.

I am very saddened to hear of Dave's passing. It's because of our mutual love for bowling that brought our paths together. Whether it was league or coaching in the high school or middle school programs, it was always good to see Dave. Always smiling and greeting me with an outstretched arm. He was very proud of his kids, whether his own or those on his teams, and their bowling accomplishments!! Our world is a better place for Dave having been in it. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May you rest in peace, My Friend.
