DUWAYNE MANTEUFEL

DuWayne D. Manteufel, age 84 of Neenah, passed away early Wednesday, August 24, 2022. He was born June 1, 1938 to the late Ernest and Lenora Manteufel in Appleton, and married Geri Huettl on May 21, 1960.

DuWayne enjoyed working out in the yard and taking care of his garden. He's probably the only one that vacuumed his lawn when helicopters and leaves would fall. In the winter he enjoyed using his snow-blower and one of his favorite pastimes was picking up hickory nuts, cracking them, and picking them out. DuWayne was also a dedicated working man, having served American National Can for 41 years before his retirement.

DuWayne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geri; his children: Randy (Holly); Mike (Tena); Debbie (Lorenzo); and by his daughter-in-law Nancy. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Melissa (JD); Jesse (Tiffany); Scott (Jill); Craig (Bridgette); Amanda (Mike); Kevin (Kaylie); Josh (Morgan); and Danielle (Shawn); by his step-grandchildren: Bob (Tracy); Rod; and Randy (Jessica) Maynard; as well as by 18 great-grandchildren with one more due in January; and by four step-great-grandchildren; and by his sisters: Pat Kelly and Alice Manteufel. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve; by his great-grandson, Gavin Rose; and by his sister, LaVerne (Elroy) Plamann.

A funeral service for DuWayne will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Albrecht officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
