Obituary

James Raymond Jakubek, 68, went up comfortably the evening of September 21st having had his wife of 34 years, Sue Spanjers Jakubek, son, Dylan James Jakubek, and daughter, Hannah Marie Jakubek and other family members by his side. Jim was born on April 29th, 1956 and grew up in Menasha, WI, graduating from Menasha High School. One of 7 children; 6 sons, and 1 daughter, he goes on to join his parents, Raymond and Carol (Cleveland) Jakubek and 2 of his brothers, Gary and Dale Jakubek. He is survived by his brothers Rick Jakubek, Poy Sippi, WI, Paul (Cyndi) Jakubek, Boseman, MT, Ray Jakubek, Oshkosh, WI, and sister, Patty (Bob) Christensen, McLeansville, NC. He is further survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

Jim was a supportive father and always worked diligently to provide for his family. They will cherish many fond memories of travels and musical enjoyment while embodying lessons of perseverance and compassion. He will be remembered for his immense dedication and capacity to help them pursue and live their dreams. There was nothing he wouldn't do for them. They are unendingly grateful.

Sue and his family would like to sincerely express their heartfelt gratitude to the St. Elizabeth/ Ascension staff including, but not limited to, the ER staff, the ICU staff, and the Ascension Wisconsin Oncology-Cancer Care Center for their exceptional professional and personalized care given to Jim at all times. Thank you heroes!

A celebration of life will be held upstairs at Greene's Pour House (134 W Wisconsin Ave. Neenah, WI, 54956) on Thursday, September 29th, 2022, beginning at 4:00 PM. It is requested to simply bring your memories and company for all to enjoy.

My condolences to family and friends. I was honored to see Jim at our 50th class reunion on Saturday the 17th. We had a brief conversation, but it meant a lot that he took time to be with his friends and classmates. May he rest in Jesus.
