BARBARA DANLEY

Barbara Jeanne (Martin-Jaracz) Danley, age 85 of Neenah, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024. She was born February 23, 1939 in Missoula, Montana, daughter of the late Felix and Marie Jaracz. Shortly after graduating high school in Kelliher, MN, Barb moved to Wisconsin where she met Donald Danley. The two married on July 26, 1958.

Barb was a dedicated homemaker who raised seven children, and after Don's passing, she worked at a nursing home until her retirement. Barb loved reading, playing cards, Bingo, bowling, square dancing, word puzzle books, and listening to the music of Elvis Presley and Daniel O'Donnell. She greatly enjoyed traveling and among her favorite adventures were Mystery Trips, a two-week trip to Ireland, a Mexican cruise, a visit to Graceland, and topping the list was her visit to the Holy Lands with her church. Barb was an active member of St. Gabriel Parish in Neenah where she served as an usher, participated in Bible study groups, and volunteered for many church functions.

Barb will be missed by her daughters: Monica (Ty) Thomas, Cathy Weidner; and Laura (Guy) Van Dehy; sons: Mark Danley, Michael Danley, Sr. and David Danley; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends. She is further survived by her siblings: Donna (Richard) Dieringer; Shirley (Gary) Frank; Bette (Mike) Gosa; and Roger Jaracz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; sister, Laura Jaracz; brother, Robert Jaracz; daughter, Rebecca Marteny; grandson, Eric Marteny; and other beloved family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at St. Gabriel Parish, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. A visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home from 4:30 P.M. until the time of a Vigil Service at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue Saturday at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of Mass. Barb will be laid to rest with Don at St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.
