DANIEL EVENSON

Daniel Dean Evenson, 56, was called to the LORD unexpectedly on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah, WI. Born on April 29, 1966 in Neenah, WI the son of Eugene and the late Lois (Buss) Evenson.

Daniel attended weekly Saturday services at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Neenah, WI. He lived a simple, quiet life showing kindness to family and friends. He struggled with a mental illness most of his life, and now lives with peace of mind in the joy filled presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. As a young boy he rode his Trail Honda 80 on the WNAM track with his brother, David. He enjoyed attending car shows with his dad. His favorite being a '57 Chevy. Sitting fireside in Diane & Jeff's basement is a treasured memory. He appreciated ALL the love and support from his father & mother. Friday nights found him at a locate Fish Fry, and Sundays reading the Bible with the Elsbecker's & playing 500 Rummy, beating most of his opponents. He loved his nieces and nephews, joining in all the family functions. When asked, ‘how are you doing?' Daniel replied, “Not bad.” Seldom complaining. You will be deeply missed. We look forward to the day when we are all together around the dinner feast with our Lord Jesus Christ. Save us a seat next to you. We love you!!

Survived by his father, Eugene R. Evenson. And by siblings, nephews & nieces – sisters: Debra (Michael) Elsbecker (Ethan (& Megan), Nolan, Olivia, & Caleb), and Diane (Jeffrey) Weyenberg (Katie (great-nephew Daxton) and Rachel), and brother: David (Stacy) Evenson (Joshua (& Amara). He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois J. Evenson.

Funeral service for Daniel will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 809 S. Commercial St., Neenah, WI with Rev. Jon Strasman officiating. Visitation and viewing will be held at the church Thursday morning beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI following the service.

Thank you to his Church Family, Care Givers, Fireside Residents and a special appreciation to Carla Klundt for being by his side awaiting the ambulance. We are truly grateful to all the people who invested in our brother's life and has extended sympathy to the family.
