MARILYN BIERWORTH

Marilyn Bierworth (Schneider), age 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Neenah, WI on October 18, 2022, from kidney failure, with her family by her side.

Marilyn was born on June 13, 1944, in Rochester, New York. She was the beautiful daughter of Michael and Catherine Schneider. She grew up in Rochester, New York and attended school there.

On November 9, 1963, she married the love of her life, David P. Bierworth who preceded her in death in 2018 after 55 years of marriage. She lived in Rochester with her husband and two children, Christine and Michael until 1975 when she moved with her husband and family to Wisconsin. While she set new roots in WI and made many new friends, in her heart, Rochester always continued to be her home. She remained in contact with and stayed very close to her family and life-long friends in Rochester. She traveled back home to Rochester frequently and truly cherished her time with everyone she loved. These special memories made her soul shine and brought her so much joy. Her life-long friends are many, and her family is so grateful for the love, support, laughter, and memories she shared with them. A special mention of love and thanks to her dear friends: Carol (Larry) Sodeman, Judy (Leo) Grover, Ann (Fernando) Sanrocco, Lillian (Pinky) Dagger, Matt and Marisa Brooks, and all of her New York family and friends.

Marilyn loved her family, her pets, and her dear friends more than anything. She had an amazing ability to make friends and strike up conversations with anyone.

She loved the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Green Bay Packers. One of her most favorite memories was meeting Brewer pitcher Pete Vuchovich in 1984 on her 40th birthday! She enjoyed watching the Bucks win a World Championship in 2021. She attended many Packer Hall-of-Fame banquet dinners and took her grandkids to the Family Night games. Marilyn and her husband also loved Disney World. They took frequent trips there with family and friends. These memories will be forever cherished.

She graduated from The University of Rochester School of Nursing in 1975 and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She worked in this role in many settings. She spent many years dedicated to residents in Vallhaven Nursing Home (Neenah). She enjoyed working nights and was able to provide friendship, support, and care to both patients and colleagues.

Marilyn is survived by her two children, Michael Bierworth of Neenah, WI, and Christine Young (M. Scott) of Madison, WI. She cherished her seven grandchildren: Joshua (Claire),

Jacquilyn (Dan), Jessica (Joel), Martín, Menkem, Peter and Hatsey and her special great granddaughter Ada (Jacquilyn & Dan).

Marilyn is survived by her sister Rene Hill of Rochester, New York, and brother Phillip Schneider (Beatrice) of San Angelo, Texas. Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Schneider. She loved all her nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She cherished all of her family and friends and the love and memories she has of them will live on in her forever.

At Marilyn's request, a private burial will be held. She will be laid to rest next to her husband David on November 1, 2022, which is the fourth anniversary of his passing. They will be rejoined together for all eternity.

Marilyn will be deeply missed! Her laughter, her smile, her kindness to strangers, her sense of humor, her love of her family and friends, her enormous heart for animals, her love of Disney World, coffee, all things chocolate will live on and be remembered by her family and friends. We love you and will miss you every day!
