Obituary

Clarence Bernhardt Reinhardt of Neenah, Wisconsin passed away on November 12, 2022, at the age of 91.  Soothe his rest with your sweetest singing.

Clary was born in Beulah, North Dakota, on November 9th, 1931, to father, Johannes Reinhardt and mother, Elizabeth Hornbacher, both German immigrants from Southern Russia. The 2nd youngest of 11 children, he moved in with his older sister to attend high school in Bismarck, graduating in 1950. Clary served in the ND national guard in high school and then enlisted in the army, training to be a paratrooper during the Korean War.   Traveling on a train to Chicago, he met corporal Irene Bruining (Solen ND). Defined by work ethic, passion for music, devotion to church and family, He and Irene provided a loving home to their children, grandchildren in Minneapolis/Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

In 1998 following the passing of Irene and his retirement from Bethlehem Steele, Clary was blessed to marry MaryAnn Miller of Neenah Wisconsin.  He and MaryAnn enjoyed their mutual commitment to church, community and family through extraordinary service, and passionate pursuit of hobbies including music, golf, travel and participation in grandchildren's school activities. He will be remembered for his dedication to officer roles, editing newsletters and just being a hard worker bee for many organizations including Fox Valleyaires Barbershop Chorus, American Legion Post #33, 40/8, Honor Guard, St Vincent DePaul, Fox Valley Community Table. He was very proud to receive his 70 years of continuous membership certificate in the American Legion this year.

Sending healing prayers and comfort to Mr. Clary’s family. Please know that he was much loved by his adopted family here in Louisiana. We will cherish our memories of him — whether at Mardi Gras parades, holiday meals, grandparents day or  football games. He was always present for us and a real 2nd grandpa to a slew of Broussard (and Duhe) kids. May he be welcomed into heaven by a singing quartet of heavenly angels.

Excerpt from When Great Trees Fall - by Maya Angelou “ and when great souls die, after a period peace blooms, slowly and always irregularly. Spaces fill with a kind of soothing electric vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be the same, whisper to us. They existed. They existed. We can be. Be and Be better. For they existed.” Dad, you existed. You were "all in" for every moment of every day of your life. We are all better for your presence. Your life was filled with music/songs and service to God, your country, your family and your community. Thank you, sir.
