Obituary
Mary Hunsaker (Magee) was born on August 15, 1938, in Smithers, British Columbia, Canada. She passed away on November 23, 2022, in Neenah, WI.
Mary went to school at Prince Rupert BC, Rosetown High School, Toronto Teacher's College, and University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. She married her husband, Fran, on November 5th, 1970. They had 20 years together filled with much love, laughter, and travel before he passed away in 1990.
Mary taught in the Neenah Joint School District, retiring in 2003. She also taught overseas in Manchester, England; Hong Kong; Shanghai, China; and Thailand. Mary had a passion for teaching and taught the same way she lived - with an open heart. Her influence on students around the world is immeasurable.
Mary loved to travel and enjoyed sharing stories of her adventures abroad with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to those who knew her. Her faith was very important to her, and she was a devout member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah.
Mary is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband. Her memory will be treasured by her family and friends. We will especially remember her warm heart, generosity, faith, and thoughtfulness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Bridget Magee, and her brother, Michael Magee. She is survived by her niece Colleen Preston, as well as her great-niece, Stephanie Severinski, and her great-nephew, Greg Severinski.
The funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St, Neenah, WI., with Fr. Nonito Barra officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
