JEROME HOFFMAN
June 28, 1956 - December 18, 2022
Obituary
Jerome R. “Jerry” Hoffman, age 66 of Neenah, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at home after a short and unexpected illness. Jerry endured lifelong health struggles and was able to overcome some and manage life with others until this one came along. He was born on June 28, 1956, to Ralph and Thelma (Stueck) Hoffman in Two Rivers, WI as the 7th of 12 children.
Jerry enjoyed his time working as a Master Barber at the Men's Room in Green Bay (clients included many former Packer players and coaches). Jerry spent the majority of his working career at WI Tissue Mill, later known as SCA Tissue for 37 years as an Industrial Electrician prior to retiring in 2019 related to his health.
On September 22, 1990, he was united in marriage to Wendy J. Stolzman and later became the proud father of son, Taylor J. Hoffman and daughter, Hannah J. Hoffman. He was devoted to his children and was an avid soccer dad, supporting them all over the states for games, tournaments, and showcases. He was a passionate fisherman who enjoyed sharing this love with his children, his dad, and brothers. Traveling on cruises were also a highlight of his and Wendy's life. They recently enjoyed a Hawaiian cruise with family and friends just prior to his life-ending diagnosis.
Jerry loved his children unconditionally, was so proud of them, and tried his best to shield his illnesses from them to prevent them from worry. He is sad he will miss their future but so grateful that he was able to see them succeed in life and hit many of their life's milestones. He had a special way with animals and always had the best trained dogs. He would even be asked by others if he would help train their dogs.
Jerry leaves behind his wife Wendy, son Taylor and daughter Hannah; sisters Carol (Leon) Goska and Christine (Jim) Fredrick; brothers Joseph (Betty), John (Kim), James (Kristin), Jeffrey (Wendy), Jule (Teresa), Jay (Cathy), Jan (Cindy), and Jed (Gina); father-in-law Tom Stolzman; brothers-in-law Steve (Vicki) Stolzman, Keith (Lisa) Stolzman, and Kevin (Jeannie) Stolzman; along with many wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and furry companion Masiy.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Judith (Judy) Stolzman, sister Charolette (Ben) Kaquatosh and nephew/god son Adam Hoffman.
The family wishes to thank his caring physicians at UW Madison over the years, Fox Crossing Fire Department, Froedert Hospital, and TCAH Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed toward your local animal shelter. Per Jerry's wishes, no service will be held. Interment will take place at Concordia Cemetery in West Bloomfield for the immediate family at a later date.
“God saw he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him, and whispered, ‘Come with Me.' With tearful eyes we watched him fade away; although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands came to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.”
