GERHARD GEIGER
January 06, 1946 - January 17, 2023
Obituary
Gerhard “Gerry” J. Geiger passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family on January 17, 2023.
Gerry was born on January 6, 1946 to Joseph and Mary Geiger of Neenah. He attended Neenah High School and then enlisted in the Army Reserves for seven years.
Gerry's biggest accomplishment began 57 years ago when he opened Geiger Auto Body, which is still successfully operating today. He made countless friends over the years through his business.
Gerry married Jodi Levitas in 1983 and the two resided in Winchester.
Gerry and Jodi enjoyed spending their winters in Florida where they could be found cruising up and down the coast listening to his favorite 50's music.
Through the years, Gerry and Jodi spent their summers surrounded by family and friends, making memories on the lakes of Waupaca. As years passed, they enjoyed a quieter life at their property in Waupaca enjoying the wildlife, especially the deer and eagles. Most weekends Gerry could be found working outside, always tending to the land and tinkering in his shop.
Through the years, Gerry held a special love for cars, especially Corvettes. They were always guaranteed to have the most unique and flashy paint job.
Gerry was preceded in death by his parents; as well as by his siblings: Bob, Jack, and Donna. He is survived and dearly missed by his loving wife, Jodi; his children: Tanya Geiger; Corey Geiger; and Josh (Jacki) Levitas; as well as by his grandchildren: Trever Geiger; Lilly Levitas; and Daven Levitas. He is also survived by his sisters: Sandy (Pat) Ryan and Paula (Jerry) Earl.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Poola, the staff at Theda Clark Hospital, Theda Care at Home Hospice, Lexi (RN) and Roberta (CNA). You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Per Gerry's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held this May, when we can share our favorite memories and keep his memory alive.
He is Not Gone
Ease your grief, he is not gone,
For in your heart, he lingers on.
His smile, his laugh, his special way,
Will comfort you, from day to day.
You'll feel his presence in the breeze,
That dances gently, through the trees.
And it's his face that you shall see,
When you're in need of company.
At any time, you can recall,
The love you shared…you saved it all.
And in time, more than anything,
You'll find peace in remembering.
