BARBARA SHERWOOD

Barbara Sherwood passed to eternal life, Friday January 27, 2023 at Valley VNA Senior care in Neenah, WI.  She was born on June 6, 1931 in Waupaca, the daughter of  Russell and Nelle (Petersen) Pope.   She was a long-time resident of Neenah, Wi. 

Barbara was a student and cheer leader at the University of Wi Madison and later worked at the Telephone Company in Neenah.  Barbara was an avid sports fan and loved "her" Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.  She enjoyed reading, antiquing, regular workouts at the YMCA and managing her antique booths in Appleton and Door County.   She was a devoted animal lover and supported the Neenah Animal Shelter and the Fox Valley Humane Association.

Barbara was a member of St Paul's Lutheran church and the Neenah YMCA .   She will be missed by her son Jeffrey Sherwood of Neenah, stepson sons Dennis Sherwood of Eden Prairie, MN, Alan Sherwood (Charlene and Brittney) of Chanhassen, MN and cousin (daughter of her heart) Debbie (Gary) Rosema.   She is further survived by many loving relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Harry Sherwood, mother Nelle Pope, father, Russell Pope, brother Jay Pope, nephew John Pope and her beloved "Muffy".

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
