MaryLou “Lou Lou” Hernandez, age 61, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She was born on January 28, 1962 to the late Hector Rodriguez and MaryLou Mendoza. Lou Lou married Ruben Hernandez on June 10, 1984 and was blessed with 39 years together. She and Ruben proudly owned Zacatecas Mexican Grill in Neenah for many years. Where she made an impact on every customer that walked through the doors. Lou Lou was always a positive person who had a smile on no matter what life threw at her. She loved her family dearly and treasured the times spent together, her dogs were also the light of her life. Lou Lou was a very festive person who always looked forward to decorating her home for the holidays. She was an avid sports fan who loved cheering for the Packers. Her screams of go pack go will continue to be heard, forever. While she is gone, her memory will live on with the ones she loved.
Lou Lou is survived by her husband Ruben Hernandez; children Ruben Hernandez Jr., Hector Hernandez, Bianca Hernandez, and Frank Heft; along with brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A time of visitation will be held from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue. A time of remembrance will be held following the visitation.
