Obituary
Sylvia J. Spaulding, age 94, passed away Wednesday April 10, 2024 at Charleston House Memory Care in Beaver Dam, WI. She was born June 23, 1929 in Neenah to the late Alvin and Ethel (Sutton) Manteufel.
Sylvia was born and raised in Neenah and lived in Pheonix for 30 years before moving back to Wisconsin. While living in Arizona, she loved painting and golfing, and upon returning to Wisconsin, enjoyed tending to her flower garden.
Sylvia is survived by her son, Steven (Susan) Paulson, WI; daughters: Terri Harris, WA; Christi Paulson, AZ; and Patti Spaulding, CA; seven grandchildren: Stephanie, Stacie, Kristopher, James, Robert, Catherine, and Mary; and seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters: Helen Johnson, CA; and Lois (Warren) Zemlock, WI; a brother, Robert (Karen) Manteufel; sister-in-law, Beatrice (Lloyd) Zirbel; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gene Paulson; brothers: Merlin (Shirley) Manteufel; Julius (Charlotte) Manteufel; Raymond Manteufel; Dale (Barbara) Manteufel; sisters: Mildred Manteufel; Beverly (Robert) Muehlenbein; sister-in-law, Bonnie Manteufel; brother-in-law, Darold Johnson, and son-in-law, Bob Harris.
A funeral service for Sylvia will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1390 Breezewood Ln, Neenah with Rev. Nate Buchner officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Sylvia will be laid to rest at the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
