LOIS CLOCHESY
June 03, 1954 - February 21, 2023
Obituary
Lois Allene Clochesy (nee Lindgren) was born on June 3rd, 1954 to loving parents Allen and Jean Lindgren. She enjoyed childhood with her four sisters and one brother, especially visiting family at the farm or giggling with her sister Marlys at bedtime. In eighth grade, she rode the bus with a special ninth grade boy, Michael F. Clochesy, who she would later marry on May 24th, 1975.
Lois was a loving wife to Mike, a caring mother to Jeff (Jessica), Erin Long (Jared), and Brad (Heidi), and a blessed grandmother to Liam, Norah, and Graham Clochesy, and Ruby, Olive, Noel, and Gabriel Long. She especially enjoyed summer vacations at the cottage, baking her “famous” mint brownies, and making sure each family member knew they were loved and special to her. Lois loved sending cards to her loved ones as well as writing in a multitude of journals. She could usually be found reading a book with a cup of coffee and chocolate in hand. She found satisfaction working in various medical clinics as a receptionist. She cared deeply for her coworkers and the patients she was able to serve. She also loved animals and will be missed by Gracie, her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Lacey, her cat.
The most important relationship to her was the one she had with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She wanted everyone she loved to know Him too. Her favorite verse was Psalm 42:1, “As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for You, O God.” Lois was an active member at her church, first Grace Reformed Church in Fond du Lac, and later Calvary Bible Church in Neenah. She served her church by teaching children's Sunday school, rocking babies in the nursery, leading a girls' Calvinettes group, and hosting a newcomers' class. She also participated in many Bible studies and small groups.
Lois passed into her Lord's presence surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023 following multiple strokes due to cerebral amyloid angiopathy and years with Alzheimer's disease. Her husband Mike faithfully cared for her throughout the course of her suffering.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Jean Lindgren, her sister Kelly Lindgren (Jeremy), and her sisters-in-law Janell Schneider (Joe) and Lisa Compton (Tom).
She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren, sisters Lora Moak (Ken), Marlys Dunston (Jonathan), Merri Lindgren (Barry), and brother Clark Lindgren (Chris), as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
A funeral service for Lois will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Calvary Bible Church 1450 Oakridge Rd., Neenah. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
If desired, donations can be made in Lois' name to the Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy Research Program at Angiopathy.org.
