SHARON STRAND

Sharon Strand, 84, of Neenah entered into God's Kingdom on April 27, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1939 in Winneconne to Fred and Erna Schmeling.  After graduation from Winneconne High School, Sharon worked for Kimberly Clark in Neenah.  Sharon was united in marriage to Douglas Strand who would stand by her side for over 55 years. 

Sharon was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah.  Following her retirement from Menasha Employees Credit Union, she and Doug enjoyed travelling, birdwatching, volunteering at church and visiting with family and friends.  Most of all, she cherished spending time in God's Word and loved her church family.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Douglas Strand; and her two children: Mark Strand of Harvest, AL; and Vicki (John) Pommer, of Franklin, TN.  Along with her parents, Sharon was also preceded in death by her sister, Elaine.

A funeral service for Sharon will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Sharon will be laid to rest at Winneconne Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:  Trinity Lutheran Church of Neenah, Neenah Lutheran Schools, or Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
