Obituary
John Albert Meyers, age 73, died peacefully Saturday, May 20, 2023.
John graduated from Xavier High School in 1968. He enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1969. He served 4 years on active duty stationed at Egmont Key in Florida, then 2 years of inactive duty. After his Coast Guard Service, John became a plumber.
In 1994, John moved back to Wisconsin, with his son, Johnathon. He pursued his Wisconsin Journeyman's license. He belonged to the Plumbers & Fitters Union Local 485. Known as “Gator,” he worked for Kampo Plumbing and Balco Services among others.
In 1998 John met Dorothy Kirchner. They married in 2000. John belonged to St Margaret Mary's Catholic Church where he volunteered with the gardening committee. He enjoyed fishing with his son Johnathon. He loved Chris Craft boats and built scale models of them.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his son, Johnathon (fiancé Kayla Weiss), sister, Mary Jane Kreiner, brothers Patrick (Sherry), Robert (Debbie), Rick (Gina), Sisters in law, Ann Kirchner and Bev Kirchner and brother in law Carlton Kirchner. His parents Harvey and Emma (Ashauer) Meyers preceded him in death.
The memorial mass for John will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division Street, Neenah. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
