Gregg H. Graverson, Neenah, age 73, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was born April 18, 1950 at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah. Gregg attended Neenah High School and UW Oshkosh. On February 13, 1971, Gregg married his high school sweetheart Rosemary. Gregg served in the US Air Force from August 1971 to August 1974.  He was stationed at Lackland AFB, TX, Lowery AFB, CO, Udorn, Thailand, and at Cannon AFB in Clovis, NM.

Gregg, Rosemary and their first son, Jon, returned to Neenah after his four years in the Air Force. He worked at the Neenah Foundry Co in the accounting department and later in the IT department as a PC Specialist and Programmer Analyst. He retired from the Neenah Foundry Co in October 2008. Gregg had a natural knack for computers and impressed many people with his Excel spreadsheets. He enjoyed wood working, playing guitar, camping, bow hunting, fishing, bowling and spending time with his family and taught them all to enjoy same. Gregg and Rosemary cared for their grandkids almost every day for many years, and enjoyed every minute of it. Gregg would often be found taking naps with one or more of his grandchildren in the recliner. He captured many memories of his grandkids playing and growing up on video. Gregg made us all laugh with his Photoshop creations. 

Gregg cheered his kids on at every baseball or softball game and traveled for every tournament. He even coached his son's Suburban Athletics team and always made sure that every kid on the team got to play. He spent hours working on his son's car with him and teaching him to play guitar. He was always teaching his kids life lessons and sharing his wisdom. He followed in his father's footsteps by finding creative ways to fix things. 

Gregg is survived by Rosemary, his loving wife of 52 years, his children Jon (Katy) Graverson, Christy Graverson, and Jeff (Andrea) Graverson, six grandchildren; Jocelyn, Noelle, Deklan, Adriel, Adrian and Felix and two brothers Russ (Joyce) Graverson and Scott (Gwen) Graverson. 

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Hilda Graverson; two sisters, Ingrid and Barbara as well as his in-laws, Larry and Clarice Kaczmarek and brother-in-law, Ron Kaczmarek. 

Funeral service for Gregg will be 11:00 AM on Thursday June 8, 2023 at WESTGOR FUNERAL HOME, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday morning beginning at 9:00 AM until the  11:00 AM service. Full military honors will follow. Dear Rosemary and the Graverson family, this little text box is not nearly big enough to express all my feelings about Gregg and his journey to his new heavenly home. I will surely miss my childhood buddy and good friend "Gravy"...we have been close since before high school, through college years, and as adults. We have shared many good and sad time times together over the years, but he has always been a faithful and loyal friend. I really appreciated his techical expertise in helping my mother with her TV and PC issues. Gregg was very smart and could creatively solve most any mechanical or technical challenge. While he was a quiet and an understated kind of guy, people underestimated his brilliance for problem solving (which I think he inherited from his father Howard). One of our shared mutual passions was music. I fondly recall trying to learn new Beatles songs on cheap guitars and pots & pans for drums at the Graverson house on Harrison Street. We all had "garage bands" in those days (hence the attached photo of Gregg in action as an aspiring musician). Gregg was self-taught and became a very good guitarist over time. Not only that, he improvised and designed amplifiers and sound systems too. I had no idea Gregg was battling cancer and am sad about that. The last time we saw each other was at the 50th reunion of the Neenah High School class of 1968 at Bridgewood Resort in Neenah in 2018. It was great to be together again after so much time had passed. Gregg was a great family man and loved his family very much as I personally witnessed when I'd visit at his home. I am very sorry and sad that I will not be able to attend his service, but know that I am there in spirit. To Rosemary and the family...we are sending hugs, prayers and a request for God's comfort and strength today and going forward.
