MILDRED SCHMIDLI

On May 31, 2025 Mildred Irene Schmidli passed away at Oak Park Place, Menasha WI at the remarkable age of 100. Milly was born on Feb. 1, 1925 to the late Emil and Alma Schmidli. She was a lifelong resident of Neenah, aside from a short residency in California. She came back to Neenah, to be near family.

Milly retired from American Can almost 40 years ago. In retirement she spent countless hours gardening and doing cross stitch and needle point. She was also an avid reader and loved to do the TV Guide crossword puzzles. In later years, she and her sister Louise spent many days doing arts and crafts or playing kickball or other outdoor games with Alex & Alivia, the children of nephew Michael (Melissa) Coon. Those are very special memories for Alex and Alivia.

She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Emil and his wife Becky; brother Earl and his wife Nancy; and sisters Evelyn Coon and Louise Schmidli.

As were Milly's wishes, a funeral service will be held at her gravesite at 1:30pm on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Oakridge Rd, Neenah, WI 54956, with Pastor Amy Engebose officiating.
