Obituary
Jacqueline (Jackie) Ann McGrane left us peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 25th, 2023.
Jackie was born on November 19th, 1946 to James Denton Purdy and Catherine Ann (Hogan) Purdy in Macon, MO. She grew up in Waterloo, IA. After finishing school, she worked as an account executive for the Waterloo Daily Courier. Shortly after, she met Joseph “Joe” McGrane. They were married on November 6, 1976 and welcomed son Matthew several years later.
Joe and Jackie moved to Neenah, WI in January 1980, where they made a home, and were active in the community. Jackie worked at the Kimberly Clark Corporation in quality control and later at the Sweet Pea home boutique, where she was able to use and share her talent in interior design.
Jackie had a vibrant spirit and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved organizing get-togethers with loved ones, and her smile and laughter brought light and joy to any gathering. She dedicated her time to serving her community, volunteering as the co-director of the Community Food Table in Neenah, delivering Meals on Wheels, coaching girls' volleyball, and preparing her signature delicious dinners for the sick and needy. In her free time, Jackie enjoyed gardening and decorating, always working to make her home beautiful inside and out.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jane Twyman. She is survived by her husband; son, Matthew (Sarah Schellinger) McGrane; sister, Denah Kay Russell; and step-sister, Sharon Faleide; and granddaughter, Clara McGrane.
