Obituary

Allan Wohlers, age 94 of Neenah, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026. He was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on August 24, 1931 to Albert and Margaret (Ernst) Wohlers. He grew up alongside his brother, Hubert (Betty) Wohlers; and three sisters: Irene (Matthew) Kuepper; Lorraine (Arnold) Cook; and Carolyn (Arthur) Schneidewend. On May 11, 1957, he married Marlene Beimborn.

 

Al was a proud veteran, having served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954, and spent one year in Korea. He was also a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah.

 

Al is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marlene; three children: Kelly (Laura) Wohlers, Franklin, TX; Wendy (Charles) Schmidt, Wild Rose, WI; and Tracy (Rick) Weigman, Appleton, WI; sister, Carolyn Schneidewend; and by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his three other siblings; and a son-in-law, Richard Northam.

 

A memorial service for Al will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah, with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

 

In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial to Trinity Lutheran Church in Al’s name.
