Obituary
Laura Marie Van Ark, age 91, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018. She was born on May 27, 1926 to the late Joseph and Lelia Ladrow and resided in Wabeno, WI. After a move to Washington State, she graduated from high school in Bainbridge Island, WA in 1939 and attended Washington State University in Ellensburg WA. Moving back to Wisconsin in 1957, she received her LPN license and worked at St. Mary's and Bellin hospitals and several nursing homes in Green Bay. In 1977, she moved to Eureka, MT and worked as a night nurse. After a move back to Wisconsin she worked at the Visiting Nurse Association Home Care for many years. Laura was very active in her church, Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha, especially enjoying her time singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school, she had a deep abiding faith and read her bible daily. Laura enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, playing cards, embroidering, and taking care of her pets. She is loved dearly by her family and friends and will be missed greatly.
Laura is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Debbie) Green of Columbia Falls, MT; Stephen (Deborah) Green of Ellensburg, WA; Danny (Gwen) Green of Green Bay, Noelle (Merle) Webber of Menasha, and Tony (Shellie) Van Ark of Neenah, daughter-in-law Kathy Green of Menasha. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her husbands; FJ Green and Edwin Van Ark; son Bobby Green; grandchildren Scott Green and Cody Green. sisters: Ruth, Genevieve, and Christine; and brothers Arnie, Hubert, Joe, and Wilber.
The Memorial service for Laura will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 2, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad Street, Menasha, with Rev. Steven Billings officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated for the Trinity Lutheran Church, roofing fund.
