WILLIAM TAGGART

November 04, 1965 - September 05, 2023

Obituary

William “Bill” Peter Taggart, 57 passed away on September 4, 2023. Bill was born on November 4, 1965, to Thomas and Ruth Ann Taggart, in Antigo, Wisconsin. Bill grew up in Menasha, along with frequent visits to his grandma and grandpa's farm in Deerbrook Wisconsin. Bill enjoyed fishing, no matter what time of year. Whether it was 85 degrees outside of 10 degrees below 0. His fishing buddy and best friend was his mom, Ruth. For those of you that knew Bill, his voice message said, “Hello I can't come to the phone right now, because I can't catch fish and talk at the same time.” Bill's other love was his dog Cookie, his best friend and companion. Cookie is near and dear to all of our hearts as this was Ruth's dog before she passed.

Bill is survived by his brother Thomas “Tom” (Carrie) Taggart, his two aunts; Kathy (Tom) Wagner, Karen (Kevin) Tatro, a niece Stacey (Fred) Hofmann; a great nephew, Trevin Hofmann; and a great uncle, Bernie Sullivan.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held beginning at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Lake Park Pub, 8904 Lake Park Rd, Menasha.

To My Brother Bill

As kids we lived together

We fought, we laughed, we cried.

We did not always show the love that we both had inside.

We shared our dreams and plans, and some secrets too.

All the memories we share,

Is what bonds me now to you.

We grew to find we had a love,

that grew to be stronger and stronger.

It's a love shared by our family,

that will never fade away.

You are my brother not by choice but by the nature of birth.

I could not have chosen a better brother.

You are the best on earth.

We were neighbors and friends to Bill. Even more than that, we were family to him. We will miss our get togethers on the deck, talking about fishing, sharing humming bird sightings and anything else that went on in our yards. Bill, I hope you have tight lines and kreels full of walleye where you are. Miss you, Keith and Diane
