Obituary
Dorothy A. Bonnin, age 86 of Clayton, passed away early Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Brewster Village. She was born November 23, 1936 to the late William and Meta (Natzke) Dittman in Gillett, WI.
Dorothy was a 1954 graduate of Gillet High School and went on to study at Appleton Beauty College. After becoming a certified beautician, she worked at Mi-Lady Salon in downtown Neenah and styled the recently deceased for Westgor Funeral Home on the side. After meeting Lowell Bonnin on a blind date, the two married on May 13, 1961 and had two children. Dorothy then stayed home to be a full-time mother, but kept busy as a 4-H leader and a Master Gardener in the state of Wisconsin. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah and participated in their quilting group. She was also a member of Stitches of Love.
Dorothy is survived by her two children: John (Barbara) Bonnin and Kathleen (the late Richard) Crane. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Bonnin; by her parents; and by her two brothers: Martin and Kenneth Dittman.
A Funeral Service for Dorothy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 25, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial St., Neenah, with Rev. Amy Engebose officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Dorothy will be laid to rest with Lowell at Clayton Cemetery.
