MALIYAH KASPER

Maliyah Nevaeh Kasper, age 15 of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly early Monday, September 25, 2023. She was born April 19, 2008, beloved daughter to Tanya (Derwin) Kasper.

Maliyah brought so much joy to the lives of those who knew her. Although she wasn't able to verbally communicate with others, the lessons she taught of compassion, patience, love, and perseverance spoke volumes.

Maliyah loved to listen to music. Her favorite songs would elicit the biggest smiles, which were very contagious, along with her laugh. She enjoyed listening to everything from Sugarland to Bruno Mars, whom she considered her boyfriend. She could easily recognize her favorite songs and knew the voices of those she loved very well. She loved going for bike rides and walks and snuggling with her dog, Kendall.

Maliyah will be remembered for her wild hair, her infections smile and laugh, and as everyone's “girlfriend." She is survived by her mother, Tanya (Derwin); by her sister, Madyson; by her best girlfriend and Grandma, Barb Kasper;  by her grandpa, Jeff Kasper; by her uncle, Troy Kasper; aunt, Tori (Shane) Miller; and by her cousins: Isaak, Morgan, Levi, and Kya. She will be missed by all who knew her, but solace is taken in knowing that she is with those that have loved her and gone before her. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Mark Grishaber; great-grandparents, Gene and Lois Gerrits; and Mike and Sally Kasper; and by her great-uncle Mike; and great-aunt Nori.

A time of remembrance will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers our wish would be you honor Maliyah with a donation to Childrens Hospital in her name.

Maliyah's family would like to extend a special thank you to her aides, Grace and Kristina, and to Dr. Jessie and the staff at Children's Hospital for all of their care and compassion given throughout her life.
