Obituary
In Loving Memory of Andrew McMyler
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Andy McMyler, a cherished presence throughout the Fox Valley. Andy was born in Menasha on December 4th, 1964. He was a proud graduate of Menasha High School Class of 1983 and after high school earned certificates from Fox Valley Technical College to become an auto repair technician. This paved the way for a life and career marked by unyielding passion, thrilling adventures, and enduring commitment to family and friends.
Andy's legacy is deeply rooted in his successful ownership of AJ's Auto Body, a business he co-founded with his loving wife, Janelle. His exceptional talents in car restoration were celebrated far and wide, rewarding him a hard-earned reputation, owed to his attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Andy's many customers, colleagues and business associates over the last 22 years.
Outside of the shop, Andy was an avid enthusiast of the great outdoors. He cherished every moment he spent on snow skis, conquering the slopes in winter, and water skis, gliding effortlessly on the water in summer. Andy's true happy place was near the water, and his love for boating was second to none. Andy had a remarkable gift for storytelling, a boisterous and contagious laugh, and a way of leaving every room with more friends than when he arrived.
Traveling the world with his beloved wife, Janelle, was a cherished pastime. Their adventures were not just about destinations but about sharing the beauty and adventures of their life together. Their 25 years of marriage and companionship were a testament to the power of their bond and dedication to each other.
Andy was a loving husband, and a proud father. He is survived by his wife, Janelle McMyler, who shared in all the adventures and joys of life. His memory lives on through his children Brenton (Kristin) McMyler and Nikole (Brent) Jansen. Andy's heart swelled with love and pride for the adults each of his children had become, and for the remarkable accomplishments they achieved throughout their lives as they, in turn, carry on his legacy of passion and determination for life and family.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Safford (Mac) and Ruth McMyler, and sister-in-law Misook Orlando, and his memory lives on in the hearts of his family. Andy is survived by his sister, Bonnie (David) Fetzek, and his brothers, Bruce (Kathy) McMyler and Scott (Jean) McMyler, along with their families, all of whom shared his unyielding zest for life. Andy's memory is further carried on by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Lorraine Orlando, brothers-in-law, Jim Orlando and Joe Orlando, and his sisters-in-law, Lisa (Lloyd) Vande Hey, Lynda (Joe) Arnoldussen, Jolene Wood, and Jeni Orlando, and many nieces and nephews, all cherished members of his extended family.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the owner, management, and staff of Aruba Ocean Villas, as well as Janelle's sister, Jolene, for their invaluable support during this time of loss and healing.
In the wake of this profound loss, we remember Andy McMyler not only for his accomplishments in business but for the love, laughter, and joy he brought to the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will forever reside in the hearts of his wife, children, family and friends. His legacy will continue to shine through the memories he created during his remarkable journey.
A memorial will be held at Westgor Funeral Home at 1140 Appleton Rd, Menasha, WI 54952 on Saturday, November 4th with visitation from 12:00PM-2:00PM and service from 2:00PM-3:00PM. If you wish to honor Andy's legacy, in lieu of flowers we ask you to consider a donation to the Twisted Pistons Scholarship Fund (https://gofund.me/a9ad4db4) or the Wounded Warrior Project.
May Andy rest in peace, his love and passion forever etched in our hearts.
