JUDITH NIELAND

Judith A. Nieland, age 82, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. She was born on May 30, 1941, and resided in Menasha. Judy married Kenneth Nieland on September 15, 1962, and they enjoyed 56 years together. Judy worked as a switchboard operator at Theda Clark Hospital for many years before her retirement.

Her passions in life surrounded her family, and she treasured the times spent with them. Judy was a talented baker and cook who was known for her baked bean recipe. She had a passion for traveling with her family, especially when they were at the family's cottage. Judy enjoyed many kinds of word games and crossword puzzles. She was loved dearly by her family, and she will forever be missed.

Judy is survived by her children: Jeff (Rose) Nieland and Karen (Marty) Gavinski ; grandchildren: Heather (Eric) Towne, Courtney (Matt) Panure, Cody Nieland, Kaela Nieland, Ashley Gavinski, and Josh Gavinski; great-grandsons Tosh Nieland and Maverick Towne; as well as god-daughter Leigh Ann Linsmeyer. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken Nieland and son Mark Nieland.

The funeral service for Judy will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, 1140 Appleton Road. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Judy will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.

Judy's family would like to give a warm thank you to Kaela Nieland, who took such wonderful care of her in her last years.
