DORIS SEYMOUR

Doris M. Seymour, age 94 of Neenah, passed away early Wednesday, December 13, 2023. She was born July 9, 1929 to the late Arthur and Frances Wolff. Doris was a 1947 graduate of Neenah High School, where she met her husband, Harold Seymour. The two married on June 12, 1948 in Neenah, and together raised three boys.

Doris worked as a secretary in the Neenah School District for many years, specifically at Shattuck and Coolidge Schools. She was also a talented musician who loved playing saxophone and singing. She was a founding member of the Neenah Community Band where she also worked as their historian. She also played in many other bands in the community and sang in the choir at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. As a member there, Doris was very active as a lector and participated in many bake sales and donations of goods she made with her talents in crafting, knitting, crocheting, and cross stitching. She enjoyed a good game of cards, especially Euchre, Bridge and Sheepshead, and was a loyal Packer fan who was lucky enough to obtain season tickets from the get-go. She and Harold were even attendees at the Ice Bowl. Doris also attended many sporting events of her own children, often playing or practicing with them as their catcher or their fourth in ping-pong. In her own time, she enjoyed golfing and bowling, and instructing girls in the Rifle Club at the Boys' Brigade. She was also known for her delicious baked goods, such as her famous rum cake.

Doris will be missed by her children: Gary (Janis) Seymour, and Scott (Lois Landgraf) Seymour; daughter-in-law, Terri Seymour; her grandchildren: Kim Seymour; Kate (Tony) Jawson; Savannah (Shawn) Bordeaux; Ben (Drew) Landgraf; Jessica (Matt) Baker; and Tyler Seymour; by her great-grandchildren: Braelyn, Brooklyn, Easton, Natalie, Barrett, Lily, Reece, and Milo. She is further survived by her brother, Norm (Arlene) Wolff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, Steve; brother, Donnie Wolff; and daughter-in-law, Mary Seymour.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Doris at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. A visitation will be held at church Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until the hour of service. Doris will join Harold at Greenlawn Memorial Park in eternal rest.
