MARK HOUG

July 01, 1959 - February 16, 2024

Obituary

Mark K. Houg, age 64, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024. He was born July 1, 1959 to Kenneth and Donna (Casper) Houg in Neenah, and was raised in Menasha. Mark graduated from Menasha High School in 1977 and was an accomplished member of the football and track teams.

Mark married Jodi Wheaton in 1979 and together they raised three children. He coached his boys in Little League and was a slow-pitch softball coach for many years. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, and bowl, and greatly enjoyed sturgeon spearing. His love for the outdoors lead him to retire in Breed, WI, giving him the ability to partake in all of his favorite hobbies.  He was an avid Packer fan and his greatest joys were being a “Bumpa” and taking sunset walks with his furry companion, Macy.

Mark will be remembered as a kind-hearted, giving soul by anyone who met him. He will be missed by his children: Alexi (Lloyd Delveaux) Houg and Brandon (Skye Mulder) Houg; grandchildren: Bryce, Connor, Kaylie, Braden, and Madison; and mother, Donna Houg. He is further survived by his siblings: Lori (Mike) Dobek and Julie (John) Anderson; his mother-in-law, Mary Miller Wenzel; and by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jodi; son, Tyler; and by his father, Kenneth.

A memorial service for Mark will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service. A memorial gathering will continue after the service at Lake Park Pub, 8904 Lake Park Road, Menasha.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Mark's name.
