PATRICIA TOPPAN

Patricia Dennis Toppan, age 97, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, February 26, 2024. Patricia was born May 4, 1926, in Chicago, Il, daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Dennis. 

Patricia lived a full life, growing up in Chicago and the North Shore, where she graduated from New Trier High School in 1944. This is where she met her high school sweetheart and eventual husband, William H. Toppan Jr. They were both previously married before reuniting at their fortieth high school reunion. They married in 1985 and lived in Bar Harbor, Maine, before returning to Menasha.

William and Patricia spent much of their time traveling. They enjoyed visiting the world's different cultures. Travel was presented early to Patricia as she retold the many experiences she had with her mom and dad as they traveled around the country seeing a myriad of natural wonders as her dad located productive fishing holes. She also enjoyed refurbishing furniture, gardening, bird watching and reading good books.

Patricia was a caring mother who loved and raised her two sons: Scott (Claire) Johnson, David (Dawn) Johnson; her grandchildren: Daniel Johnson, Katherine (Jeremy) Maerling, Morgan (Mitchell) Lambrecht; and her great-grandchildren: McCoy and Adeline.

A visitation will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Norridge, IL.
