RAYMOND BINDER

Raymond Binder, age 76, passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on March 6th, 2024. He was born November 30, 1947 in Oshkosh, to the late Esther Davies and Adolph Binder.

Ray was united in marriage on March 13, 1981 to Sandra Sjoquist, who he lovingly called his "Huggy Bear." Ray was employed at Neenah Foundry in various roles, ending his career working in quality assurance, with retirement in 2008. 

Ray had many hobbies including bird watching and riding his motorcycle. There was never a dull moment when Ray was around. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed vacations with his wife, friends and family. He loved his pets and had nicknames for each of them. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family together for the holidays, playing board games or just hanging out on the deck. He had a special place in his heart for all the grandchildren and enjoyed attending orchestra or band concerts, soccer, track and cross country meets, powerlifting competitions, Boy Scout activities, Tae Kwon Do tournaments and dance recitals. The grandkids kept his days full of laughter and enjoyment.  

Ray will be remembered by his wife, Sandy; children: Kelly (Mel) Larsen, Christine (Eric) Hanson, Kimberly (Bradley) Fahrenkrug, Ryan Binder (Mel Levis, fiance); his brother, Charles (significant other Kathy) Binder; and grandchildren: Heather, Jeremy, Allora, and Wesleyan Binder; as well as Kiersten, Keali, Alexander and Kate.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Adolph Binder, his son, Keith Binder, and his sister-in-law, LaVonne Binder

A funeral service for Ray will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at First United Methodist Church, 108 W. Doty Ave., Neenah, with Rev. Rebecca Henry officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
