Obituary
Ronald G. Forrest, age 70 of Neenah, passed away peacefully early Tuesday, November 4, 2026. He was born May 14, 1956 to the late Arnold and Dorothy (Maske) Forrest.
Throughout his life, Ron enjoyed a variety of interests and pursuits. He had a passion for basketball and loved coaching the girls’ basketball team at Three Lakes High School and boys’ basketball in Eagle River. He especially cherished the opportunity to watch his own daughters play. A talented boxer in his younger years, he also enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skills by coaching young boxers.
Ron spent ten years living in Montana, where he developed a deep appreciation for the mountains and the opportunities they provided for hunting and fishing. During his time there, he owned and operated his own taxidermy shop. He later spent several years in the Three Lakes area before returning to Neenah. Throughout much of his adult life, he worked as a butcher and meat cutter, as well as in many manufacturing roles, always holding onto the dream of one day opening his own butcher shop in Neenah.
Ron was also an avid classic car enthusiast who took great pride in his collection, particularly his 1956 Chevy Bel Air. He enjoyed attending car shows, where his vehicle earned an award or two. A history buff, he loved visiting museums and learning about the past. He was also a devoted Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
Above all, Ron’s steadfast faith in the Lord remained a guiding presence throughout his life. A deeply spiritual man, he found comfort and fellowship in attending church wherever life took him.
Ron is survived by his four daughters: Maria Forrest; Angela (Matthew) Zeller; Courtney (Casey) Forrest; and Amy (Brandi King) Forrest; grandchildren: Kylee (Isaac) Hallada; Callie, Claudia, and Dean Forrest; and Hunter Zeller. He is further survived by his sister, Betty (Darrell) Clough; brother, Richard (Cheryl) Forrest; by his favorite niece, Ginny Schieck; his ex-wife, with whom he shared over 40 years, Karla; as well as by many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas (Sara) Forrest; James (Jane) Forrest; and Michael Forrest.
A memorial service for Ron will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 140 S. Green Bay Rd., Neenah. A visitation will be held at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Ron will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
