JOHN VALASKEY

John M. Valaskey, age 70, peacefully passed away on June 2, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Janesville, WI, on February 16, 1954, to the late Kenneth and Jean (McKewan) Valaskey, John's life was a testament to love and family.

John was a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin and an avid Badger fan. After a fulfilling career in the Fox Valley, where he worked at American Can, American National Can, Pechiney Packaging, and OEC Graphics, John embraced retirement with open arms, relishing in the joy of his many hobbies.

John leaves behind his devoted wife of 44 years, Brenda Valaskey (Zeuske), his sons: Ken Valaskey and Matt (Shanna) Valaskey, and his beloved granddaughter, Evelyn. He is also survived by his sister, Susan (Richard) Knox of Cedarburg, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Valaskey.

John will be remembered not only as a loving husband, father, and grandfather but also as a man who found his greatest joy in the simple moments spent with family. John's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the City of Neenah Police, first responders, and the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care during John's final days.

Visitation will be held at the Westgor Funeral Home in Neenah on June 25th  from 1-4 p.m. with service to follow.
