Obituary

Vicki Lynn (Koerner) Loehning, 72, of Neenah, Wisconsin passed away peacefully with dignity and grace after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She spent her last days as she spent her life, surrounded by the love of her family.

Vicki was the ninth of twelve children, born on January 5, 1952, to Matt and Ann Koerner.  In 1970 she graduated from Menasha High School.  She worked at Plexus (Electronic Assembly) where she met many dear friends.  In 2003 she retired to be a stay at home Grandma.  Over the last few years she worked at Walgreens, offering her warm smile to everyone that crossed her path.  

Over the years, Steve and Vicki spent some of the winter in North Reddington Beach, Florida where they met wonderful friends.  She loved spending time there and it was something she looked forward to every year.  

Vicki was an incredible mother and grandmother.  She embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and generosity that was seen in the way she cared for her family.  Everyone who knew her knew that her family was her pride and joy.  Vicki was big hearted, vibrant and radiated light.  

Vicki is survived by her loving husband, Steve, her children, Jamie (Lisa), Phillip and Hanna (Steve), her grandchildren, Alondra, Salma, Taylor, Maggie (Drew), Emma and Seth, her great-granddaughter, Leo and her siblings, Sharon (Joe) Kryszak, Chris (Don) Laeyendecker, Dan (Debbie) Koerner and Debbie Slomski.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Joshua and her siblings, Luci, Audrey, Frank (Sonny), Mike, Norma, Steve and Phillip.

We would like to thank Dr. Zahid Dar and his team of incredible nurses and staff at Lombardi Cancer Center at Aurora Hospital in Oshkosh as well as the care and support of the team at Hospice.  

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 10am until Noon at Westgor Funeral Home, 205 West Doty Avenue, Neenah.

Vicki was an amazing lady. We met her and Steve in St Pete's. We have always touched base over the last few years and we had always hoped to come to St Pete's and spend another vacation with them. Steve and family We are thinking of you all during this very difficult time.

Auntie Vick, being four years older, always felt like a big sister to me. I’ve known her my entire life. Always so sweet and generous, and with an incredible sense of humor. With a twinkle in her eye, she had a way of relating hilarious anecdotes that would have us crying and begging for a breath of air. More importantly though, she had an endless capacity for warmth and love.  I’m gonna miss you dearly, Auntie Vick.

I am sorry for your loss. She was a beacon of love and laughter to me in my youth. She gave me strength when I was floundering and hugs when I needed a friend. Also a stern talking to when I was being sassy! RIP my friend. Thank you for all you did for me.

Vicki grew up on the same street so I got to know her very well. She was always a joy to be around. She had the most beautiful smile, which will be missed. I worked with her at Plexus, where she had everyones admiration for being an incredible person. I loved to see her at Walgreens. She knew all answers to my beauty questions, and again that radiant smile. I am so sorry for your loss. May God grant your family peace.

I am so sorry for your loss Steve, her & Steve's kids & the Koerner family. Vicki was a sweet & funny too. I just recently found out she had cancer, then read her obituary in the paper today. :( The most I have seen her lately, was at my stops into Walgreens. She always had a smile on her face & was always nice to talk to her. We go far back, as I do with the Koerner family in general. I am very sad she lost her life to cancer. She passed to early in her life. My thoughts & prayers are with everyone. With Care, Diane Richardson
