ELIZABETH BRAYTON

Elizabeth Jane Brayton, 93, of Neenah, Wisconsin went quietly and peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on July 30, 2024.  She was born on October 2, 1930, in Wild Rose, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Helen Mushinski. 

After graduating from Wild Rose High School in 1947, she attended Business College in Oshkosh.  It was there that she met her husband, Richard.  They were married on November 16, 1957, at St. Peter's Church in Oshkosh.  They lived in Oshkosh, Merrill, and Stevens Point until they moved to the Appleton area where they raised their family.  Elizabeth had several jobs outside the home, however the job she was proudest of was being a wife and a mother.  In her later years, she volunteered as a docent for 25 years at the EAA Museum in Oshkosh.  She and Richard were members of St. Gabriel's Church in Neenah.

Elizabeth was an avid reader, and she enjoyed many trips with her husband traveling throughout the United States.  She carried on her own mother's love of being in the kitchen by collecting recipes, especially those focused on healthy eating.  Fall was her favorite time of year, and she especially loved celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday. She lived a life filled with unconditional love and devotion for her family.  May her legacy of gentleness, kindness and grace continue to inspire all who knew her.

Elizabeth will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 66 years, Richard; children Jon (Nancy), Jamie (Mitch), and Jana (Jerry); grandchildren Spencer (Jamie), Seth, Danyelle, and Kerrie; great-grandchildren Everett and Eloise; brother Bob and nieces and nephews.

In the blink of an eye, everything can change.  So, forgive often and love with all your heart.  You may never know when you may not have that chance again.
