Obituary
Therese Ann (Nollenberg) Siehr, 69, has entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 29th, 2024, hanging on until 15 minutes past the end of a horrible Packer's game. She was born on February 21st, 1955, to Raymond Nollenberg and Shirley (Blajeski) Carter in Neenah, Wisconsin. While growing up in Neenah, Wisconsin, Therese spent a lot of time hunting, camping, and fishing. Throughout her whole life, Therese loved bowling and was a part of the Women's National Bowling Tournaments for over 35 years. On February 23, 1991, she married Robert Siehr and together they blended their families lovingly.
Therese worked at ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah, WI, for 50 years as an appointment scheduler for the central scheduling department, a department she was proud to have helped develop. She loved it there and was very proud of her career. Therese was a die-hard Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan. Whenever there was a game playing, you could always find her watching and cheering for her team. She loved Elvis from the moment she first heard his music and became a life-long fan. Therese had so many friends, as she was very personable and friendly. Her children describe her as a very positive, selfless, amazing woman, striving to live in her image. She was patient, never complaining, always smiling, and never judged a soul, right up to the very end.
Therese was a gift giver, making sure to have a gift for everyone during family functions and holidays. She even went so far as to have spare gifts in case she came across someone she didn't prepare a gift in advance for. She would save money all year for Christmas, and was the one to pass out presents on Christmas morning. For one Christmas, Therese's daughter Holly remembers Therese dressing up as Santa Claus and handing out gifts. To be sure that gifts were bountiful year-round, family vacations were designated on a budget camping trip to JellyStone Park in Door County, but still memorable and fun.
She is survived by her 3 children: Raelynn (Nick) Hanson, Holly (Nick) Schroeder, Chad Siehr; siblings: Kim (Mike) Thornell, Kelly (Chuck) Hull, Michele (Bob) Kraus, Tony Nollenberg, Shawn (Sherrie) Nollenberg; grandchildren: Titus and Tillie “Alex”.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; and her brother, Joe Nollenberg.
A funeral service for Therese will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, October 4, 2024 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, located at 900 Geiger St. in Neenah. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service with a luncheon to follow. Per the family's request, and to best honor Therese, please wear Packer or green and gold apparel.
The family would like to extend their gratitude towards the nurses and staff of Oakridge Gardens as well as the ThedaCare Neenah ICU staff for their caring and compassion during her final days.
