GERALD AKSTULEWICZ
December 08, 1946 - March 20, 2025
Obituary
Gerald P. Akstulewicz, 78, of Menasha, WI, passed away on Thursday March 20, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born to Sylvester Akstulewicz and Mavis Fink on December 8, 1946.
In 1966, Jerry married Kathleen Selbach and were happily married for 58 years, in which time they traveled to Cape Canaveral, Spain, Morocco, Mexico, Canada, Vegas every year, and many other adventures, including away games at several major league ballparks. Jerry was a loving husband and father as well as an avid sports fan of all things Wisconsin, the Brewers, the Packers and uniquely the San Francisco Giants. Jerry was a graduate of UW-Oshkosh and continued on to work for the Bergstrom Hotels as an accountant for over 20 years. He ended his career working happily with Acre Realty. He also enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, and deer hunting with his family at the cabin up north. He was his grandchildren's biggest fan, always traveling to and never missing important events in their lives. He was incredibly proud of each and every one of them.
His family is so grateful for the time they had together and would like to extend their thanks to the Moment's Hospice team who became a second family to them, especially Faedra, Melissa, Pearl, and Emily.
He is preceded in death by parents Sylvester & Mavis Akstulewicz, brother Thomas Akstulewicz, and grandson Jacob Kaufmann.
Survived by his wife, Kathy; his children Andrew (Terri) Akstulewicz & Kari (Bill) Kaufmann; his grandchildren Jenna (Brock) Carlson, Alec Kaufmann, Matthew Kaufmann, Abraham Akstulewicz and special friend Lily, and Samuel Akstulewicz. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday March 29, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 516 Depere St, Menasha, WI 54952. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service.
