MICHAEL BLOHM

Michael Joseph Blohm, born on March 27, 1959, in Illinois, to the late Ronald and Roberta (Richards) Blohm, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather and brother whose love for his family and the great outdoors defined his life.

Michael is survived by his three beloved daughters: Robyn Haley Blohm (Brian Swanson), Ronni Saunders (Colton Saunders), and Randi Edman. His two adored granddaughters: Kennedy Rein Saunders and Hazel Jo Saunders. The mother to his children, Rhonda (Blohm) Giese, stood by him through many of life's challenges and joys. Michael also leaves behind his cherished brother, Robert Blohm (Mary Blohm), and nephew, Tommy Blohm (Cassandra Blohm); and great-niece, Sage Blohm. Together they shared countless memories that will forever resonate within their hearts.

Michael was preceded in death by his dearest brother, Thomas Blohm.

A man of simple pleasures and profound passions, Michael found joy in the tranquility of nature. He loved to hunt and fish—activities that not only brought him peace but also allowed him to bond with those he loved most. Whether it was spending long days casting lines into serene waters or waiting patiently for the perfect moment during hunting season, these experiences were more than hobbies; they were moments where he felt truly alive.

Michael had a particular fondness for sturgeon spearing. The thrill of waiting silently on the ice surrounded by friends made each outing an adventure filled with laughter and camaraderie. 

At home in Neenah or wherever he roamed outdoors—whether hanging around with family or tending to pest control duties—Michael's warmth radiated. His easygoing demeanor made everyone feel welcome; he had an innate ability to make even ordinary moments special simply by being present.

In our hearts forevermore rests this gentle soul whose passion for life inspires us all—to cherish every moment shared among loved ones just as much as we embrace adventures awaiting beyond familiar shores.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
