KURT STADTMUELLER

KURT STADTMUELLER

April 13, 1961 - December 16, 2024

Obituary

Kurt F. Stadtmueller, 63, of Appleton, WI (formerly Neenah, WI) passed away on December 16, 2024, in Menasha, WI.  He is now at peace and resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He was born in Appleton, WI, on April 13, 1961, the fourth child to Franz and Mary Lee (Eick) Stadtmueller.  Kurt was a 1979 graduate of Neenah High School.  With a unique skill set, Kurt started his career path at Open Pantry while still in high school.  He then attended UW-Oshkosh where he studied business with an emphasis on accounting.  He moved on from college to a long career that included Ling Products, (later known as Banta Healthcare), RR Donnelly, and AP Nonweiler serving in various professional and administrative roles for each company.

Kurt had a passion for the outdoors.  He enjoyed decades of sailing with his father, family, and friends.  He liked camping, attending music festivals and concerts, singing karaoke, and spending time with family.  Kurt recently got into bicycling.  He could often be found taking in the scenery at Memorial Park in Appleton and enjoyed sharing how many miles he put on his bike.  Kurt also had a real talent for photography and writing poetry and loved to share his work with those he cared for.  Kurt took great pride in his children and grandchildren and enjoyed it when he was able to play games or do puzzles with them.  And they loved getting a taste of Grandpa's “chocolate medicine”.  Kurt always had a sweet treat ready to share.

Kurt will be forever remembered for his warm, kind smile, and his infectious laugh.  His generosity towards anyone who crossed his path was an inspiration to many.

Kurt is survived by his father, Franz Stadtmueller, and loving step-mother Sandy Stadtmueller of Neenah; 3 beloved sons, Bryan (Deana) Stadtmueller of San Antonio, TX, Matthew (Katie) Stadtmueller of Neenah, WI, Michael (Olivia) Stadtmueller of St. Charles, MO; 7 cherished grandchildren, Henry (10), Jack (7), Isabella (5), William (4), Oliver (4), Oakley (2) and Lily (18mo); former spouse and mother of his children, Lisa (Kain) Belling; 4 brothers, Mark Stadtmueller of Sheboygan, James (Anita) Stadtmueller of Neenah, David (Barb) Stadtmueller of Appleton, Franz (Deisha) Stadtmueller of Pleasant Hill, CA; 3 sisters, Phyllis (Todd) Bossert of Clintonville, Karen (John) Kain of Neenah, Jana (Michael) Hadamovsky; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Kurt is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Stadtmueller; his baby brother, Edward John; and his favorite pet, his cat Maggie.

A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date.

Sending our condolences to the Stadtmueller family. Kurt will be missed. He stood up in Pete and my wedding. We always joked he was my half husband because pastor Ruge used his name instead of Pete's at first. We will miss him so much. Our hearts are broken 💔💔

I knew Kurt when he was a mere adolescent. In fact, when he was 14 I taught him to drive. We spent many afternoons driving around the neighborhood. I was shocked to hear the news of his tragic passing. OM MANI PADME HUM May his transition be swift and without confusion.

Was very saddened to see the notice of Kurt's passing in December. I still remember him the 1st day I stepped into Ling Products when applying for a job. I am still there to this day 35 years later. I previously worked with his sister Phyllis which is where I heard about the opening at Ling. He was smiling that day and every day I saw him after. He was so pleasant to be around at work and outside of work. Always had a listening ear and good advise. We also enjoyed the same music which he "shared" on FB. I will always think of Kurt smiling down on us. RIP my friend. My condolences to his entire family.
