Obituary

Violet Litton, age 86, of Neenah, Wisconsin, passed away on December 28, 2024.  Violet was born on March 4, 1938 in Neenah and grew up in the Town of Clayton.  After graduating from New London High School she spent time working for United Airlines in Washington DC.  There she met and married Dorman Litton and then returned to Neenah where she raised her 2 sons Rodney and Brad and worked for Jewelers Mutual until she retired.  In 2020, after the death of Dorman, Violet moved to Stonecrest Assisted Living in Minnesota to be closer to her children.

Violet had strong faith in God and was a longtime member of Martin Luther church in Neenah.  Violet enjoyed serving the church and traveling on many LWMS bus trips to attend conventions and see the country.

Violet is survived by her son Rodney, son Brad, daughter-in-law Judy, granddaughter Kristen and great-granddaughter Alba Mae.  Violet is further survived by her sister Velma Stofferahn; brother Butch Dorow (Sally Wieseler); sister-in-law Edith Dorow; brother-in-law Dennis Laabs; and many nieces, nephews and their families.


Violet was preceded in death by her husband Dorman; parents Erwin and Caroline Dorow; mother-in-law Lottie Broadus; brothers Lawrence Dorow, Ralph (Jonny) Dorow and Erwin Jr. (Janet) Dorow; sister Caroline; brother-in-law Dale Stofferahn; and sister-in-law Helen (Leroy) Imboden. 


A funeral service for Violet will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 436 S. Lake St., Neenah. A visitation will be held at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Violet will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park. 


The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the amazing staff at Stonecrest Assisted Living in Woodbury, MN along with Optage Homecare and Hospice for the incredible love and care they provided to Violet.

Vi was a Beautiful woman with a true heart of gold.  I’m very sorry for your loss.  May you find peace in her many lovely memories.  She cherished each of you.

Vi was a co-worker and a friend. I am very fortunate to have known her and Dorman. "Gracious, loving" are terms that I would use to describe Vi and how I will remember her.

I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Violet’s passing.  She was a beautiful lady!  My thoughts and prayers are with you.
