Obituary

Jerry E. Maas, 74, of Menasha, WI, passed away on February 25, 2025. Born on August 19, 1950, to Herman & Lucille Maas.

Jerry was a passionate deer and turkey hunter, an avid fan of Wisconsin sports, as well as loved to fish with his granddaughter Jalin. He was “Chopper” to all those who knew him, even since before his wife, Linda, and him started dating. An employee to what was known as American Can for 45 years, until his retirement in 2012.

He is preceded in death by his parents Herman & Lucille Maas; brother Larry Maas; nephew, Jim Maas; and his niece, Amy Maas.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of almost 56 years Linda Maas; daughters Lisa (Jamie) Geise and Jerri Lynn (Frank) Pivonka; grandchildren Logan Boyce, Jalin (Noah) Lebrun, and six step-grandchildren; and his brothers Joe (Carole) Maas, Jack (Mary) Maas, and Jim (Nancy) Maas. He is further survived by Linda's brothers, sisters, their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Jerry's wishes, there will be no public services.

Sister Linda and family.  Jerry will forever be in our hearts.  My favorite memory is getting my 1st motorcycle ride at the age of 12, boy did I feel like “the cool young chick”.  Rest in peace Chopper.  Love sister Lori

Jerry was such a wonderful brother-in-law, a great inspiration to us and to Chad. His passing  breaks our hearts. Dan has many great hunting & fishing memories, fun times he will never forget.  Rest peacefully brother, you will forever be in our hearts.  Love and hugs, Dan & Vickie

I remember going out with Linda and Jerry long ago when we were in our 20’s.  Good people. Linda your heart must have crumbled. It’s a hard thing to have your heart ripped apart in this lose. Does it get better?  I find you carry that part of your life on your sleeve. I’m praying for your family alone with the Maas boys  Cindy
