AGATHA WOOD

May 21, 1940 - March 26, 2025

Obituary

Agatha A. Wood, 84, of Oshkosh, WI went to the Lord peacefully in her sleep on March 26, 2025. She was born to Clarence and Dorothy Strycharske on May 21, 1940.

She was married to James D. Wood on October 3, 1959, and spent over 60 years together happily until he passed in 2019. Loving mother to Jim and Joni Wood, she was an active and dedicated member to numerous dog rescues. She had a particular soft spot in her heart for small breeds. Aggie was an avid Packers fan and watched any game that came on with family, sometimes even startling the dogs with her loud cheers.

Aggie was preceded in death by her husband James D. Wood and her parents Clarence and Dorothy Strycharske.

She is survived by her children Jim (Anita) and Joni; her grandchildren: Jim (Diana) Wood, Ashley Wood, and Collin Wood; her great-grandchildren: Sean, Dylan, Kaylie, and Aubrie; her sisters Pat (John) and Ann (Jim). She is further survived by her best friends Cheryl and Herb who considered her as family as well as many loving friends who will feel her loss terribly.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the American Grand of Neenah.

A memorial service will be held Saturday April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Living Water Lutheran Church, 1585 S Oakwood Road, Oshkosh, WI 54904. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Please leave any kind words, photos, or memories of Aggie on the Photo or Guestbook tabs on the left.

To Pat and John, Anne and JIm, Jim, Joni and all of Aggie's grandchildren and great-grandchildren, I am very sorry to learn of Aggie's passing. I feel fortunate that she and I were able to reconnect in recent years and share our interest in the family history. We shared a love of furkids (her dogs, me cats) and I always had a great time talking to her when I visited. I will truly miss her. Jane Sigfrids
