DAVID TIPLER

November 05, 1948 - April 16, 2025

Obituary

David K. Tipler, age 76 of Neenah, passed away early Wednesday, April 16, 2025. He was born November 5, 1948 to the late Karl and Marilyn (Moore) Tipler in Neenah, where he has lived all his life.

Dave graduated from Neenah High School in 1966 and joined the U.S. Air Force. He served and was stationed in Vietnam. After his return to the states, Dave worked for Hesser Olds for many years and then started Dave Tipler Auto Sales. He was a lover of fast things and raced a hydroplane boat on Lake Winnebago and the Fox River. He also owned his own race car and enjoyed participating in and watching drag races at WIR. His favorite pastime was spending time with his kids, watching them participate in sports, sharing their life updates with love and pride to anyone willing to listen and seeing his family expand with each grandchild.

Dave is survived by his children: Tara (Michael) McCormick and Travis (Sara) Tipler; grandchildren: Riley, McKenzie and Michael II McCormick; and Hayden and Miles Tipler; sister, Cathy (Jeff) Ryba; and brother, Don (Della) Tipler.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment with full Military Honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Neenah/Menasha Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed on Westgor's YouTube page.

Tara and Travis would love to gather with everyone to share stories, laughter and maybe a few "Oh Dave" moments at the Bee Hive following the burial.

All motorcycles, classic and collector cars are welcome (pending the weather). The more horsepower, the better!

Tara and family, John and I are saddened to hear about Dave”s passing. We both have years of memories including boating, swim meets kids activities but for me was all the car sales we worked together with the credit union at the malls in doors and out and the fun we had with all the other dealers🥰 RIP Dave, Beth and John Davis
